At the end of January, Paula went up to Belfast along with many other members of the Irish Centre for Vascular Biology based out of RCSI, to attend the British Society for Haemostasis and Thrombosis annual meeting.
The conference started with two workshops for early-career researchers on building resilience and reviewing papers. This was also a great opportunity to meet fellow PhD students from other universities in a more relaxed environment.
The following two days were jam-packed with amazing talks from both clinicians and scientists, describing the newest and most exciting advances in the field. Paula also presented her PhD work to date during the “Scientist in training” oral presentation session and received some great feedback and interesting questions.
